Take Care Around Cellular Antennas

We are working to replace all of our old meters with new cellular ones.  In fact, all of Coontail Water customers now have cellular meters and more than half of Wren customers have them as well.  These meters use cellular technology to send a reading from your meter to our software program several times a day.  This enables us to potentially catch issues much faster than we have been able to in the past.  It also allows you to monitor your own usage through an app called Eye on Water.  However, these antennas can be easily damaged and destroyed.  Please take care when you are doing any type of work near your water meter so that you do not run over your meter with a lawnmower, atv or any other vehicle as you can damage your antenna.  An ounce of prevention can save us all in the long run as these antennas are costly to replace.
