Current Projects

Wren Water is in the process of changing our meters from the drive-by radio read meters that we have been using to new cellular meters.  These cellular meters send a reading to our office three times a day, allowing leaks to be detected in real time, rather than a month behind like the old meters were.  Users with the cellular meters can download the Eye on Water app (on the google play store or the apple store) and monitor their own water usage.

We are currently installing cellular meters on Hwy 278, Hwy 45, Hwy 41, Central Grove Road.  Camargo Road, County Line Road, Eden Drive, Shepherd Drive, Schlicht Road, Old Camargo Road, Seymore Road, and McAllister Road have already been switched over to the new cellular meters.  If you live in this area, download the Eye on Water app and sign up.  You will need your account number and you will use the zip code 38858 to sign up.  We are striving to get cellular meters installed everywhere on the system.

As one of our projects under an Arpa grant we received, a new chlorine building has been constructed on Old Wren Road.  This building will replace the hutches that were damaged during the tornado.  

As part of our projects under a grant we received from the American Rescue Plan Act, Coontail's elevated tank on Hwy 45 was repainted.  The filter system tanks are being repainted now and new media is being replaced.
